On 5 January 2024, Italoptik turned 30. Thirty years ago, my father, Andrea Lula, founded Italoptik, the first private optician in Albania. He opened it with a simple dream: that everyone in Albania could see well and feel good in the glasses they wear.
Today that dream has become a big family, with three stores: our historic home in Selvia, Italoptik Kala in Tirana Castle, and Italoptik in Fier.
We could only celebrate this birthday one way: all together. We held a big celebration evening, honoured by the presence of many well-known personalities of our country, old and new friends of Italoptik. Our whole staff was with us, the people who welcome our clients every day with a smile and with care. Without them, these 30 years would not have been possible.
It was an evening full of emotion, memories and music. We remembered our beginnings, our first clients, the hard years and the beautiful ones. Above all, we thanked those who have stood by us all along the way.
But this celebration was not only about looking back. It was also about showing where we are going. That evening we presented all the events and new things we have brought to Italoptik, and a piece of news we are very proud of: Italoptik became the first optician in Albania to create its own eyewear brand.
We started with the Italoptik optical frames collection, and then continued with sunglasses. Every model has been designed with care, for the quality, comfort and style our clients deserve. For us, this brand is a way of saying thank you for 30 years of trust.
In the same spirit, we work to bring exclusive brands that you can find only at Italoptik. Our latest exclusive brand is Kyme, eyewear handmade in Naples by the finest Italian artisans.
